Cruza is Casa Líquida’s multi-artistic residency that was designed after nine years of experience in building a collective territory of exchange between practice and research. In 2015, the artist Julia Feldens began opening up her home for artists to live and work in. The results of this action served as support for the artist's research, which helps her reflect on the process of creation and collectivity.

In Cruza we try to establish, as

an epistemology and creative method, the intersections that take place in the coexistence between different perspectives on life and artistic languages. The alliances that are built in daily routines, the experience of building empathy and the challenges of living together as a method of broadening perception and deepening knowledge.

This artistic residency is multi because it houses artist-researchers from many areas, such as music, visual arts, literature, cinema, dance, performance, photography. Casa Líquida's infrastructure allows for the development of multiple languages. At Cruza, mentorship takes place between the artists themselves who share their processes and experiences. This trust and intimacy are only possible because of the bonds that living together make possible.

Over an agreed period of time, based on the needs of each project, the artists will be able to immerse themselves in the same place where they produce. Cruza doesn't have an open call, it's made up of a network that expands every day.

Casa Líquida is located in São Paulo, a cultural hub that plays a leading role in the Brazilian art market, a metropolis that stands out for its human variety. This artistic residence benefits from the socio-cultural diversity of South America's largest city, producing an ecosystem within a domestic space that stimulates connections and inspires freedom.
